Shipping Information: Shipping times may vary depending on the item selected, size of the item, location of delivery and time of the year. Shipping charges can get expensive so we highly recommend ordering a few days in advance of delivery date so that the best form of shipping can be utilized to meet your delivery needs and offer the best shipping price. You can view estimated shipping rates when entering items into the shopping cart.
Shipping Damages: Once a shipping carrier leaves our dock they become responsible for the freight. In case of loss or damage caused by the carrier, a report should be made to that carrier.
Claims: All damage claims, discrepancies and late delivery claims must be made within 48 hours of the item being received. If a gift arrives damaged or there is a discrepancy, we will make every effort to resolve the issue in a timely manner and to your customer’s satisfaction. Credits or refunds will be at the sole discretion of Gift Basket Cottage & More and will only be issued if damaged gifts or discrepancies can be verified by the carrier. If your customer or recipient disposes of the gift before we can verify the damages/discrepancy we will not issue any refund. All claims must be issued in writing by fax or email. PLEASE INSPECT YOUR ORDER IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL. DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE BOX OR ANY PACKAGING MATERIALS UNTIL YOU HAVE INSPECTED YOUR ORDER AND ARE SATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT YOU HAVE RECEIVED.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will make every effort to correct the problem either by issuing a store credit or refunding. Please remember we have a set of policies and procedures for issuing credits and returns so be sure to contact us via email or fax before you attempt returning an item.
Returns/Misrouted Packages: Orders returned or misrouted due to errors on the part of Gift Basket Cottage & More will receive a full credit. Claims for orders returned or misrouted due to incorrect address information provided will not be honored. In the event a carrier returns a gift due to being refused, a bad address being supplied or non availability of a recipient , all shipping charges assessed by the carrier will be added to your bill and a 20% restocking charge could be issued. Shipping charges usually consist of shipping to the recipient , shipping back to the dock and any address correction fees. If a bad address is supplied and the carrier needs to make an address correction or when a suite number/apartment number is not supplied and the carrier needs to make adjustments, a fee of $10.00 may be incurred. A fee may and will be incurred any time a zip code, city or state does not match. Claims for late deliveries due to missing suite numbers/apartment numbers or incorrect information will not be honored.
Shipments to hospitals, colleges and other institutions are guaranteed to arrive at the specific address provided; they are not guaranteed to reach specific individuals within such institutions.
Substitutions: We will make every effort to supply the items pictured and listed on the product, however, we do reserve the right to substitute items of equal or better value depending upon the availability and season. Substitutes for chocolate items are made May through October.
As a reminder: Chocolate and perishable gifts need to ship via Next Day air June through mid October.

If you want to ship one of these gifts via ground we are more than happy to accommodate your request. You ship these gifts at your own risk at all times from June through October.
We do not pay claims of any kind on these items if they melt, even when shipping via next day air.
All other gifts containing chocolate will have the chocolates substituted out for hard candies when the gift ships any way other than next day air.
If for any reason the recipient or purchases is unhappy with a gift they certainly return it.
- If the gift simply is not wanted, or the customer is not satisfied, they may ship it back at their own expense and receive a partial and in some cases a full refund. The refund is based on the gifts perishability and condition upon being returned. The gift must be unopened and un tampered with.
- If the gift is damaged or we have made an error: We will call tag the original gift and either ship a new one or refund the gift in full. However, if we can not call tag the gift, no refund or credit will be offered. Retrieving the gift is the only way we have of verifying the damages and placing a claim with shipper.
Many of our items are available to ship to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. There are additional shipping charges, stipulations and delivery time added to the order. Please contact us directly if you would like to ship an item to these locations and we will make every effort to accommodate your request. Please keep in mind the added time it takes to ship to these locations. We also do offer some shipping to APO, FPO, and PO Boxes. Again there are added charges stipulations and delivery time added to each order. Please contact us and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
Please note that we are closed and no shipping will occur on the following days. All orders due to ship on these days will ship the next operating business day.

Please remember that shipments during the holiday time may have longer delivery times the closer to the holiday we get. During most times of the year, if you place an order with 3 Day, 2 Day or next Day air shipping by 11:00 am EST they can ship the same day. After that time they will ship the next day. All ground orders should ship within one business day.
Fruit: Please remember all fruit gifts have shipping restrictions.
Monday through Wednesday -Standard and next day air shipping are the available options.
Thursday- Next Day air is the only option
There is no shipping fruit on Friday. (We do not offer Saturday delivery for fruit)
